Nagelfar - Virus West Review

by Mike Rapin

I'm digging it. This is my phrase for Nagelfar's Virus West. Seriously, I'm digging it. Things get nice and heavy in an album of German pleasure. Mind you, Nagelfar is very much an f*cking heavy band.

With seven tracks of nearly all 10 minute songs, each song screams brutal and heavy and dark... the list keeps going, but I'm sure you get the gist. Each song grabs hold of your ear drums and punctures them. It is so damn good. The massive amounts of distortion can be a bit overwhelming; the album pushes on blasting away all sense of consistency.

I'll finish this baby up saying that Nagelfar's Virus West is damn worth the listen and the buy. The album is full of deep, dark, black metal, the kind best at throwing you out of your seat. I was amazed at how well put together the album was. I'd recommend it to anyone in need of some new wicked evil.

Sturm der Katharsis
Hetzjagd in Palδstina
Fδden des Schicksals
