    YUMMY Is Coming To Town!!!
    by Rick Mulholland

Just as Moses descended from the mountain cradling The Ten Commandments, YUMMY has crawled up from the gutter embracing rock n' roll. Destined to prove that they are not just some ordinary electric-twanger thumpers from Nyack, New York, Drew Stiles, Virg Drescher and Nick The Drummer have been sonically assaulting the East Coast for the past 365 days. College kids everywhere have been singing and dancing to the songs "Pumpin'", "Brim", and the anthem "King". Moviemakers Tim McCann ("Desolation Angels") and Larry O'Neil ("Throwing Down") exposed YUMMY to independent film fans in their movie scores. Panasonic features the band this October in a nationwide advertising campaign for its Technics products. Lock up the women and children, YUMMY will be on the tips of everyone's tongue before 1999.

Rock n' roll's newest sensation will hit the road this fall to promote their Cross Records debut release, eleganté. While the CD clearly demonstrates this band to be a musical phenomenon, it's the band's live show that will have the locals talking about the legend of this band for some time. YUMMY combines a Marx Brother's comedy sketch with the funk of James Brown and the guitar driven force of early Aerosmith. This band rocks!

Would you like a taste of YUMMY? They will soon be offering their buffet of rock n' roll goodies at a venue near you. Your musical palate will be well satiated. Make sure to bring your bibs and condiments (or should it be condom- mints?). We'll see you there!
