Rock n World endorses two new Internet music products:

Monday August 17, 1998, Rock n World today officially endorses two new audio software products that are used with streaming media on the Internet. The first product being the Real Networks new Real Player G2 Beta used to receive streamed Audio, Video and other media. The second Product is IQ by Q Sound a product which greatly enhances the sound quality of streamed media when used in conjunction with the Real Player as well as other forms of digital music like Wav files.

The new G2 player delivers increased quality with lower band width, when files are encoded specifically using the new G2 technology it delivers better sound, and video files. We have tested the new player along side the old version of Real Player, first we encoded a video file for 28.8 streaming using the old technology and played the video back the quality was decent and smooth, but the picture was still a bit fuzzy. Then we encoded using the new technology utilized with the new G2 player and discovered that the picture became clearer, and even delivered a larger frame rate. On audio, the sound quality difference is noticeable and we recommend that you visit Real Networks Home page and download the new player.

IQ by Q sound is a great new product that takes boring old mono sound and transforms it into a much improved 3D stereo, it works even better on Stereo audio files. We do not pretend to understand the technology behind this new product but the results speak for themselves. The makers of IQ are so sure you will love it that the software comes with a 30-day money back guarantee. The cost is nominal, a paltry $20 bucks. It only makes since to use a product like IQ when people shell out hundreds of dollars for expensive sound cards and speakers for there PC’s only to get mono quality sound from the internet. IQ works under Windows 95 and 98.

We at Rock n World loved this product so much we entered a Partnership agreement with Q software. As part of that partnership, you will find an IQ button and Link on every page of Rock n World.

Rock n World managing editor Keavin Wiggins has this to say about these two new products, “ They could not have come at a better time for us. We are about to launch our Real Audio and Video Galleries, and these two products will greatly enhance the quality of streaming media we can offer here at Rock n World. Not to mention our visitors will benefit from a better visiting experience here and at other Web sites. The new G2 Real Media files offer smaller downloads which will greatly reduce the likelihood stalling in the middle of a song. We are very excited about the improvement being made in Internet Media, and we enthusiastically endorse the G2 player, and IQ. “
