Lollapalooza '99 is not going to happen
There were high hopes for the return of Lollapalooza this summer, with rumors that Suger Ray, the Offspring, Marilyn Manson and the latest incarnation of Guns n Roses would headline. All those hopes went out the window when it was discovered that the plans for the summer alternative tour have been scraped.

Organizers had stiff competition in lining up talent for the tour from Woodstock, Lilith Fair, and the Ozzfest. Due to their inability to ink the big names that would draw the crowds they decided to call the tour off. They do however hold out hopes for next year.

This is the second year in a row that the tour has been canceled so the future of the enterprise does not look good.
