Summer of the Metal Tours has a new entry Motley Crue and the Scorpions.
If any one doubts that metal is on a major comeback the latest tour announcement should smash them.

Metal fans will have a busy summer with bands like Ratt, L.A. Guns, Quiet Riot, Night Ranger, Poison, Great White, Black Sabbath, Korn, Rob Zombie, Damn Yankees, Slaughter and Godsmack all poised to play on various tours this summer.  Whether you are a fan of hard core, glam, pop metal, or good old fashioned Heavy Metal there is bound to be a show for you.

The latest addition to this busy tour season is Motley Crue and the Scorpions trekking across North America on what is being billed as the Maximum Rock Tour.

The tour will kick off in Washington D.C. on June 29th, and with take the metal veterans to 40 cities across North America ending on August 29th in Houston.

Concert go'ers are told to expect a 90 minute show from each band.

Motley Crue is touring in support of their latest Greatest Hits album put out on their own vanity label Motley Records. The Crue back catalogue was pulled by Elektra when the Crue struck out on their own, but as rumor has it they should see a reissue soon under the Motley Records label.

The Scorpions have completed work on their latest album, and are in the process of label shopping. The band is in negotiations with various labels and hopes to release the 14 song album titled Eye to Eye before the tour winds up in August.
