Rock News Brief: System of a Down off the Family Values Tour
System of a Down is off the Family Values Tour. They were scheduled to join the tour on Oct 16th and play the remaining dates. That is no more.

There is no official answer to why they are off the tour, but System of a Down's management company Velvet Hammer Management says that the band was dumped by Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit.

It appears that Durst was interested in a another Velvet Hammer artist Tap Root for Flip/Interscope Records, but the band wanted to shop around for the best deal before signing up with any label. As a result Durst reportedly got back at Velvet Hammer by bumping their showcase artist System of a Down from the Family Values Tour.

There has been no comment from the organizers of the Family Values tour besides stating that System of a Down is indeed off the tour.

L.A fans can see System of a Down in November.
