Rock News:Creed joins Metallica's mini-tour
Creed will no longer be playing their scheduled New Year's Eve gig at the Lakeland Civic Center in Florida.  Instead they will join Metallica in late December for a couple of stadium shows in Florida.

The Metallica/Creed shows will be Dec. 28 in Miami at the ORange Bowl and Dec. 29th at the Tropicana Dome in St. Petersburg. ( Are we the only one's who think this corporate sponsorship of stadiums is getting out of hand? The next thing you know we'll have the Tampex Center.)

Also on the bill for these shows are Kid Rock and Sevendust.

Those who held tickets for the New Year's eve show can return them to the box office for a refund.

This is a done deal according to the Creed Web site, but the band has had a series of problem this year on the road. Just this month, they were forced to cancel a number of shows because lead vocalist, Scott Stapp, ended up in the hospital with the flu. They also scrapped their European Tour which was supposed to happen in early December. They are rescheduling the European tour for early 2000.
