Opus Dai - Actum Procul Review
By JoFo

.
If the prog metal label slapped on music leaves you cold & disinterested, maybe a trip to the sunny shores of Opus Dai will change that. Made up of the deceased, reformed & slightly remodeled O.h.m, Opus Dai is an original band, with an interesting sound & unique vocals.

Their live EP flirts with hints of Iron Maiden & Queensyrche & Tool in one solid track after another. The excellent musicianship of the band is highlighted. The songs on here aren't lickety split, but neither do they drag. The last song on here sounds like a transplant from the "Oh Brother, Where art Thou" soundtrack, which was a little weird; not bad, just different. Not a bad CD for those who like prog or people who think it all sucks.
