Cameron Ember - Good Things Happen…To Bad People Review
By Morley Seaver

.
There is a melancholy aura surrounding this EP. Cameron Ember is a singer/songwriter and she has bad taste in men…at least from her lyrics. "Seattle" contains the lyric, "boyfriends can teach you all about check fraud. It's going to be a great year."

There are four tracks on this record and they are all kind of laid back with Cameron's un-hurried vocal approach. My favourite cut is the third one, "Dear Captain" which sounds like a morphine-induced sleepwalk. It's oddly calming.

I like Cameron's sound, however as a record, this is a bit…I don't know…incomplete. And at 22 minutes or so, I see no reason to put this record out now. Why not get a whole record of material and make it worthwhile? I guess Cameron only knows for sure.
