Tippi Review

by Jen Procop

.
Tippi's first full length release by Massive records is really a compilation of songs that were previously recorded and released in the U.K. An EP release of "Boy" had some chart success in Europe when it debuted in 2004 and is featured on this CD however Tippi has yet to find any of that type of notoriety here in North America.

The 11 song CD is quite bland with a mix of some dance and pop offerings however the album becomes monotonous after the first few tracks, each sounding like the song before. Musically, she is talented and offers some insight with tracks like "Better days" and " Misguided" . In late fall of this year Tippi recorded with a new all girl indie band called The Hedrons who appear to be getting some promising reviews. For Tippi fans, perhaps you want to save your money on her solo release in exchange for the upcoming Hedrons LP
