The Templars - Clockwork Orange Horror Show Review
by Greenmuse

.
What's it gonna be then, eh? When I saw the description of this on the CD review list I knew I had to do it. Being a Major Accident fan I jumped at the chance to review anything in the Clockwork oi field of music. This CD didn't disappoint. It even contained a cover of a Major Accident tune, I'd have liked to seen a cover of "Brides of the Beast", or "Twisted Mind" as they are some of my favorite tracks, but "Leaders Of Tomorrow" is a damn fine tune as well. I figured that these guys must be good to still be living after covering a Major Accident tune. Paul Larkin would most likely come to your house and beat the tar out of you if you did a hack job of covering a Major Accident tune.

This CD passes the "will it strip paint at 30 ft" test with flying colors, hell I'd go on a limb and give the Templars a paint stripping ability of 150 ft. The first track alone broke my meter for this test, so I had to manually calculate its lethalness to paint. To sum up this CD's sound in two words, I'd say: old school. Despite being a reissue of some rare mid ninety's songs, this sounds like it was made in the late 70's/early 80's. It's rough, it's slightly tinny sounding and has a pretty ..well, cheap guitar tone. For some people this may be a black mark, but I think it lets you know this is a no frills slice of oi. This is a hard CD to review since I love it so much, so I'll just say: get it, you'll thank me
