Look What I Did - Minute Man For The Moment Review
by Greenmuse

.
I wanted to review this since it was billed as something fans of Dead Kennedys, Dillinger Escape Plan and the Blood Brothers would like. Granted out of the bands listed, I'm only a fan of the Dead Kennedys. But anything that is billed as such must be at least halfway decent. After all, one doesn't (or shouldn't) toss around comparisons to one of the best American punk bands ever. Sound wise this is nothing like the Kennedys, but lyrically it does have that weird sort of humor that Dead Kennedys tunes usually have... Well if Jello did a lot of angel dust before writing tunes. Sound wise this is just chaos. To me it reminds one of Unsane, but with a screechy vocalist. Think the bastard son of Unearth and Insane. Kids, this is guaranteed to drive your parents or any fans of smooth music right up the wall, with possible cranial explosion when they reach the chandelier.

I can't help but love this wonderful orgy of noise. I just wish the vocals were easier to understand, perhaps it will take a few listens before I can mesh with his vocal style. My favorite track is "Fox Eats TV Ishmael". How could you not love a song with a line like "your show is a porno even Cain wouldn't jerk to". One thing about this band, the lyrics are definitely creative. A close second favorite is "Zanzibar II: Sasha and Sebastian" its got some guest vocals by Aimee Echo, who's voice sounds great against this maelstrom of sound. For something different, try this band out. You definitely won't forget them.
