It's hard to find rock that really blends all different styles together. What I mean is a band that uses dirty distortion, dirty vocals, and dirty lyrics. Bands lately are depressed, angry, or political, but The Erotics bring back that good old dirty sound back to music.They follow the punk pattern of keeping the songs short and melodic, but keep the rock alive by throwing in crazy guitar solos and heavy distortion. Imagine the New York Dolls or The Ramones meeting 80's glam rock and that's The Erotics.
Mike Trash's vocals sound as rusty as a nail in a one hundred year old building. His voice really flows well with all the distortion in his guitar and make that old rusty voice perfect for this band.
This is definitely a CD you could blast out of your car as your cruising on the road. Trust me I have been having it blasting out of mine since I got it. It's a great album filled with dirty melodic rock with catchy lyrics and a great style. These guys have a great sound so I would recommend checking them out. Maybe I'll pull up to you in my car and we'll be blasting The Erotics together.
