RNW: Aside from your duties
with Enuff Znuff you run your own record label, Stoney Records and I see
a lot of new stuff coming out from there. Do you want to fill our readers
in on some of the projects you are working on for Stoney Records?
Chip: Its still in the beginning
stages a lot of these projects but we have the Dead Drops from Los Angeles,
Ramone an artist out of Chicago, Radio Earth and east coast band who were
discovered in France by the legendary
Tippy Canoe and we have 9fifty another great Midwestern group. They got
some great pop over tones, sort of like John Cougar Mellencamp meets R.E.M.
And maybe sometime in the future we might release some stuff through Stoney
from Enuff Znuff. For right now those are the bands were working with
and Im also a consultant for Sy Klopps Blues Band out of San Francisco,
so my plate is full.
RNW: I remember you produced the
first Sy Klopps Blues album, is that one still out there?
Chip: Yeah, both of them are still
out there. The first one called Walter Ego and the second Sy Klopps Blues
record is called Old Blue eyes is back. I produced them and they feature
members of Journey, Santana, Steve Miller Band, Sly and the Family Stone
and the Tubes. [Chip forgot to mention he and Donnie Vie provided backup
vocals on a couple tracks]
RNW: And finally, you guys have
been working with Bill Aucoin?
Chip: Yeah. Bill Aucoin, he managed
Billy Idol and KISS and hes now managing Enuff Znuff- so the inmates
are no longer running the asylum, even though you might think we are if
you watch us, by our actions but having him on board is really a big
help in changing the whole perception. Here we are now, a couple months
ago sitting around doing dishes, trying to sneak into the studios at night
time and now people are calling us, wanting to talk to us about the tour,
about our new album It feels good, to be loved again.
RNW: Yeah I see a lot of recent
momentum behind you guys and its great to see you guys finally getting
some respect.
Chip: just keep an eye out, youll
see us going down the street in the old Nirvana tour bus, with a big peace
sign on the back.. so stop in and say hello.

GREAT BAND, GREAT INTERVIEW. IF BOTH PEOPLE AND CRITICS WOULD STOP ASSOCIATING THE HAIR GLAM IMAGE TO THIS BAND, THE WORLD WOULD BE ABLE TO MEET THIS GREAT ICON IN ROCK-POP MUSIC. BUT I'M STILL SURE THAT THEY WILL FINALLY FIND THE RESPECT THEY DESERVE.

I love enuff z nuff and they are the best song writers and its a great interview and I think that enuff z nuff hasn't got all the fame the deserve

I am a professional songwriter and I have never heard better songs than those written by Chip and Donnie. I've been following the band since the first album, and there is not an act that comes close to them musically or creatively. The new album is a masterpiece as is all of their previous records. Long live Enuff z 'Nuff.

Truely one of the most under rated bands in the world. I hope someday they catch the break they deserve.
Posted by briguy: all hail chip, these guys just put out
the best stuff all the time.Cn't wait for '11'
Posted bysquid: As a fan of ZNuff since the first album
it's great to see them getting some exposure again. If they are playing
anywhere near your town you MUST be there. I saw them live the first time
in '88 or so on the tour with Tora Tora and have since seen them at least
a couple hundred times in Chicago. Which is about an 8 hr. drive. It is
well worth it everytime. These guys are truly amazing!!!
Posted bywolfman: Growing up in Blue Island, you'd never
think anyone famous would come out of there. But even when Donnie was playing
in basements on Maple Ave you could tell he had a plan. The plan worked!
Awesome music! Already have my tickets for when they roll through Texas.

Isle: Great interview! These guys deserve success
more then any other band out there today. Watch them blow away the others
during the summer tour. Bring back Kurt Fang

Znuff (Gene): Znuff rocks with a passion. Will the world
ever catch on? Got their whole collection except foreign releases like
Brothers. Kinda miss the old members being in it, but they still rock just
as good. I sing like Donnie and go to work a lot listening and singing
along with them. Try to request them at the local station but they just
don't get it. True die hard rockers. Keepin' it real. And guys if you read
this come to Lafayette, LA(Cajundome) or Opelousas, LA(Delta Grand) and
give me a ticket so I can be onstage and sing backup! To the best Rock
group out there still kickin' and never giving up, Hail Hail to you. Peace!
Always number one in my book since I first heard you guys.
