Although I have never been to a concert, the rock- n -roll group has always had a special place in my heart. At the bars, on the jukebox, the songs would always bring a crowd and make people dance. I love you quys!

Ivanna Humpalot
I think Malcolm young is a mega-babe , and it's a shame Angus has all the info on yahoo , and Malcolm has f**k all

scarlet harlot
i want to say that AC/DC are sex on ten legs

scott
AC/DC has gone to hell and back and they are still kicking butt. All of their songs are bad because of the awsome lead guitar parts that Angus does.I think Angus is the baddest guitar player

Ricardo
The only thing I want to say is that they are such a great band and I hope there is ac/dc for more and more years. Many nowadyas bands would have to take a look at what they have done up to now!!!

Msludie
I kinda take exception to Eagle's comments...what does it matter how old or how young you are. The bottom line is that AC/DC has always rocked the house, and always will. 'Nuff said???

Sir Percival
Right on watchdog!! Very well said.

Eagles
Although none of AC/DC's are really progressive rock, I think The Razors Edge was the most "progressive" in that it was more creative than just the traditional upbeat rocking riff. Never heard any song before like Thunderstruck and songs like the title track that sound more dark and eerie than most AC/DC songs.

WATCHDOG
PLAIN AND SIMPLE. NEVER SOLD OUT,NEVER COMPRIMISED AND NEVER GOT WEEK AND NEVER WENT BACK ON ANYTHING THE SAID. Metallica could follow there example.

GNRfreak
I was also at the Blockbuster Pavillion show here in Los Angeles and he hit the the head on the freakin' nail, with his description of the show. I can honestly say it was the greatest night of my life. I do have one gripe though, I do believe the ass-hole who leads Slash's snakepit did try to sound like, Axl, and did a shooty job at it too. The guys a pussy, and i think slash is wasting his time with such a crappy band. I know Axl's a dick, but he can't ever be replaced, and Slash needs him to compliment his talent. Slash is a god, no doubt about it, and he truely rocked. AC/DC are the absolute rulers of rock and they "shook me all night long!" It was incredible, and I wish Angus would have followed through with his strip tease and moon the crowd!

THE PROWLER
AC/DC HAVE PROVEN THEMSELFES. ENOUGH SAID.

Metal Wolf
Flick The Switch was a good album and was under rated, but I think all of their albums were good.

TIM
I STILL THINK FLICK OF THE SWITCH WAS THE BEST. SONG`S LIKE BAD LANDS, HOUSE IS ON FIRE AND NERVOUS SHAKE DOWN WOULD BLOW ANYTHING ON ANY OTHER ALBUM AWAY. THAT ALBUM WAS HEAVY,SMOKIN AND PROGRESSIVE SOUNDING. IT`S NO WONDER IT WAS THERE LEAST COMMERCIAL. ANYONE OUT HERE THAT HASNT HEARD THIS ALBUM, BUY IT AND CRANK THAT MOTHER UP. ESPECIALLY ON THE FOR MENTIONED SONGS. IN OTHER WORDS, TURN IT ON AND FLICK THAT F**KING SWITCH.

Metal Wolf
I wonder what AC/DC will do after their Stiff Upper Lip? Will they go and do another album, take a rest, do a few shows here and there for awhile. But I do not know if they could make a better tour and show that they did for this album , but you never know, it is AC/DC, the monsters of rock.

Robert
I saw the Stiff Upper Lip tour and it was the best Rock concert I have ever seen. Long live AC/DC the greates band in the whole WORLD.

rocknroller
hey theres been a lot of talk about mainstreem and acdc. im 14 and acdc is one of my 3 favorite bands and id have to say there not mainstream. believe me as hard as it is trying to find anyone under 30 into their stuff like me. i have one friend my age that likes them and he doesnt have the love for them like me. i was in st. luois the weekend of a concert and was pissd the whole time because i didnt have the money to go. and butch has no right being at a site for an awsome band just to badmouth them. im sure him and his teeny bopper friends would get there panties in a wad if i got on an nsync or sisqueer site and told them they were gay. (then again it would be far more true than what he says about ACDC) thats all long live ACDC

dave
I saw AC/DC in 79 Highway to Hell tour. I've been a fan ever since. I must admit I snubed Brian for about two years. Then I heard "You shook me all night long" one day and gave him a chance. For this I must apoligise to Brian and the band. Bon was a great showman,as is Brian. Bon's career was cut short. by his own dimise. don't get me wrong,I loved bon, still do,but Brian didn't ask to take his place. Bottom line is they ROCK! alway have always will. As Malcom said "were the f*ckin best",and I whole heartedly agree.

Eagles
I never accused AC/DC of selling out they are the best band IMHO of all-time. But they aren't some underground cult band that only metal fans know about, its just that their mainstream listeners are mostly above 30. Although other classics albums like Razors Edge helped bring in younger fans and etc. I'm rambling but don't confuse my commentary on the band as bashing. There's nothing wrong with being mainstream if you're not selling out to do it. Alot of mainstream music is very good (Stones, Led Zeppelin).

Keavin
The mainstream came to AC/DC - AC/DC didn't come to the mainstream. This is one band you could never accuse of selling out. It's just that the music rocks so hard that everyone can't help but love it. As for the show written about here, I'd say only about 1/3 of the audience was over 30. It's bands like AC/DC and Ozzy that keep rockin after all these years and new generations get to discover why they kick a$$!

SOURCHUX
When AC/DC was starting out REO Speedwagon and Foreigner were what was considered mainstream. Now we're into the new millenium and it's bands like Blink-182 and Everclear who are what is considered mainstream. With Back in Black AC/DC became more comercially accessible because of songs like You Shook Me All Night Long, and what Do You Do For Money being played on the radio and becoming radio hits, unlike anything off the predecessor album Highway to Hell. A true rock band like AC/DC writing songs that just so happen to appeal to a wider audience that includes fans that are into more mainstream stuff, does not make AC/DC a mainstream band themselves.

Eagles
I'm not trying to be negative at all and I was easily the most energetic one in my area at the concert (probably because I was younger then most). Just trying to say that AC/DC is a very mainstream band, just not in todays world.

metalman
I saw them at the Continental airlines Arena in August. The range in age was pretty wide. 12 to 40+ But what does that matter. AC/DC continues to kick major ass and is being well received from a new generation just like KISS and Black Sabbath. This is why Metal will never die. The one post below is correct in prediction. Creed will be a has-been in about 2 years.

Metal Wolf
Hey when I was at the AC/DC concert at the Correl Center I was standing up head banging with my fist in the air. Don't beleive me ask the two drunk guys in at the side across from me because they were doing the same thing but they were in their 30s and 40s too. Most of the popel I seen at the concert was in that age group most of the young kids there only went there because not much rock concerts happen very often(from what I know). So Eagles is right, most of AC/DC's fans are in the 30-40 age group and not much young people, but I could be wrong.

SOURCHUX
S H I T ! HERE COMES EAGLES THROWING HIS NEGATIVE 2 CENTS INTO THE CONVERSATION. YEAH, AC/DC MAY HAVE FANS IN THAT AGE GROUP, SO AC/DC MUST BE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT FOR THOSE FANS TO HAVE STUCK AROUND SINCE BACK IN BLACK WAS RELEASED. I BET YOU'RE THE KIND OF GUY IN A CROWD OF 30 THOUSAND PEOPLE WHO ARE HAVING A GOOD TIME AT A CONCERT WHO STANDS, OR MAYBE EVEN SITS THERE, WITH HIS ARMS FOLDED ACROSS HIS CHEST, JUST HATING LIFE BECAUSE YOU'RE TO MUCH OF AN UPTIGHT A S S H O L E TO LOOSEN UP AND HAVE A GOOD TIME. THAT'S SOME KIND OF WIERD INFERIORITY THING YOU MUST HAVE GOING THERE EAGLES.

Eagles
Their music is mainstream, just that the bulk of their fans are like 30-40 because they jumped on board around back in black's release.

Metal Wolf
I agree with Joe but I would not want all the gangster wanabies all of a sudden trying too look like austrailian school boys, it's sick enough to see them wear that crap. I rather have a few people I know like AC/DC than a whole school because then that would be bad. And AC/DC never wants there music too be mainstream because if they do they know that their musical life span will be shortened. But all in all I hope AC/DC lives on because rock music needs them right now.

Joe Gorelle
Hell yeah Ac/Dc is the best rock band out there, and no stupid sh|t Creed, Slipnut, Emmiemme, or any other band that the media raves about comes close to Ac/Dc. Angus is the f***ING man. He makes three chords(Back in Black) sound like it was a (late 80's)heavy metal nightmare.I no that makes no sences at all but think about it.So to all you wannabes look at Ac/Dc.

SOURCHUX
Great idea Jay. But you know as well as I do that it would never happen. These alterna-crap bands know they don't stand a chance when put up against a band like AC/DC.

KING DING DONG
If you're hung like a horse we ougt to hook you up with BUTCH, You can stick it in him and shut his ass up! AC/DC RULES!!

psyco pastor
im hung like a horse

AC/DC PRIEST
ANGUS IS GOD NOW PRAY TO GOD WORMS

JAY
ID LIKE TO SEE THEM IN CONCERT WITH CREED. THEN THE ALTERNATIVE FANS CAN SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN WHAT REALLY ROCKS. AC/DC 4 EVER. BY BY TO CREED IN 1-2 YEARS.

Rocky
One more thing to this Putch guy, why are you so hung up on fairies dude? Get your ass out of the closet and shut up we don't want to hear about your denial!

Rocky
DAMN I have to say this guy is reading my mind. I saw Angus and the guys kick some major ass last month and I still haven't recovered. Your right Bon was great but Brian has done a kick ass job in his place. You know I have to disagree about Slash I was disappointed he only played one gnr song and his "solo" was way too short.

Oso
Hey Goth, cool review. AC/DC is a really cool band. I haven't had the opportunity to see them yet but their records rock. I hope they come this way again so I could catch a show. Sounds like it was really fun.

FAH FAH FAH FOOEY
AC/DC was, is, and always will be true blue, dyed in the wool, HIGH VOLTAGE Rock and Roll!

BUTCHLOVESSMALLBOYS
Butch is just jelous because in a couple of years his favorite bands(NCYNC,BSB,Village People,ABBA) will and have gone away, and AC/DC will still be playing good music. And it seems that Butch only has one reason for AC/DC too be bad, saying they are homosexual, I guess just he and his favorite bands are.

t 4 e
good point butch. NOT.

BUTCH
"AC/DC ROCKS!" HA, get it..."rocks"

t 4 e
id like to see a rap group or boy group play an instrument. and write there own songs and survive through 26 years of numeras fads. WHEN HELL FREEZES OVER. AND TO BUTCH,GET A LIFE.

teppy.
saw them in huntsville ala. in 1988 at the von braun civic center. and they kickrd ass. i got to see them again.

Jason
I saw these guys in Cincinatti and they totally rocked. Rock sure as hell won't ever be dead as long they put out great new albums and put on an ass-kicking live show.

A Dumb Teenie Bopper
Are they like, umm a boy band?

Roger
To be honest I didn't like stiff upper lip when I first heard it but after I saw them play the songs in concert I went home and listened to it again and now its one of my favorite cds. I heard the rumor they were going to tour america again I hope they do because they put on the best concerts I have seen in years. AC DC ROCKS!

Dr Fever
Antimusic is the realest music site on the net, period. I respect them not wanting to have things get out of hand on this one...it's not censorship. I just wish we could figure out a way to get those kinda things done over at my column...oh well, i'll keep dreaming, maybe something will come to me...btw..ac/dc still fukkking rocks.

GOTH BROOKS
Sellout? antiMUSIC? OUCH! that hurts! and being accused of censorship just adds insult to injury. All we're trying to do is keep these sites the best they can be, and to keep appropriate topics in appropriate forums, and for everybody to be able to be turned onto and enjoy all the music we cover. I'm sorry you feel the way you do about antiMUSIC Eagles. But if you'd like you can still take the topics of Race, Censorship, and Selling-out to the message boards.

john
i think ac/dc rock now. but i think they were better from flick of the switch and back. flick of the switch was actually there best. it was there heaviest and angus did some really progressive smoking playing on that album. i would have to say that his playing on highway to hell, is the only other album that comes close. for example, listen to songs like shot down in flames from highway and house is on fire from flick. then youl see that his playing today(even though it rocks)dosent mach up. but ac/dc is still better than any 90,s alternative group.

BUTCH
"BIG GUN! NUMBER ONE!"

t 4 e
im not really surprised. the truth hurts. and ac/dc rock.

Eagles
Looks like the censorship has started. Bloody long time it took for Antimusic to sell out. Yeah remove this post too.

Dr Fever
i dunno, maybe i'm wrong..but i thought that long ass post i put up was ON the subject, in a sorta round about way....but, what do I know, i'm just a columnist.

Nutter
i loved every second of the show (Cleveland). it was hands down one of the best nights of my life.

GOTH BROOKS
Hey everybody, Could we just dedicate this fanspeak section to comments other than the kind that are being posted here lately? please? I know everybody's got their opinions but this is really getting out of hand. Let's try to be a little more considerate of one another. What brought you to this review in the first place? Was it your love of Rock n' Roll and AC/DC? Or did you come here to argue? I hope you didn't come here to argue.
(We have removed the off topic post here. While the issue of race and rock may be a valid topic to debate, this fanspeak is to comment on AC/DC. If you wish to discuss other topics, please use the message boards. Thank you. -ed)
jason
cheers for dr. fever. and ac/dc rock.

realperson
whats greenmouse doing in an ac/dc chat room, not saying he hasnt the right, but why is he here and he dosent like rock.?

Dr Fever
I saw AC/DC on the Ballbreaker tour...friggin awesome it was! These fools can still bring it...I missed them on this tour, but I hope to see them on the next go round. "It's a long way to the top, if you wanna rock n roll".

steelheart

Rocky
Bloody marvelous!

Alluvion
AC/DC was just in Biloxi, MS. After reading this review, I'm damn sorry I missed it! Hopefully I'll catch 'em next time. Thanks Goth!

Eagles
This was an awesome show. The best moments was the strip show during Bad Boy Boogie and everything that happened during Let There Be Rock. Best concert and they didn't overdo it with the new material because I also prefer Bon Scott stuff. I wish they would've played Are You Ready and Sink the Pink though.

Elvira
After about 23 years, I finally got to see one of my fav. bands! Needless to say I was not disappointed, and agree 100% w/ all of Brooks' statements. I will continue to be a lifetime fan!

Metal Wolf
I seen AC/DC in Kanata Ontario Canada and everything that this article said about the AC/DC performance is how I felt when I seen AC/DC, it kick a$$! As for Butch, he is just another fad follower I bet if everyone liked AC/DC, he would too. Butch maybe you should watch AC/DC behind the music because they got the name from a sowing machine meaning power and electricity.

LDDWFL
Now this is a review I can relate to! AC/DC still knows how to rock and kick MAJOR A** doin it too! Great job Goth!

T-bone
I got to hand it to you Goth you do have good taste. I saw them for the first time myself a few weeks ago and it spoiled every show I am going to see in future. No one can live up to the energy they give out on stage. You were right even the new songs kicked ass. I sure hope they tour again soon I WILL BE THERE!

Matt
They kicked major ass in minnesota!!

angus69
cool

Dennis
You are right AC/DC was so much better than I expected. It was one of the best concerts I have ever seen

Nevermind
ACDC is ok but you are wrong about 90s bands they are way better than these old relecs

Metalheart
Goth u hit it right on man.

Raymond
I saw them in Detroit and they were unbelievable but I wasn't too impressed with Slash his singer tryd to steal the show and he only did like one real long solo. but AC/DC more than made up for it. How the hell does Angus keep going?

devast8
I saw them in St. Louis. Totally agree with everything you said.
